Retailers extend reach with Lazada Singapore

Lazada Singapore is partnering with retailers who recognise that buying online has become an integral part of the retail experience.

With an extra online marketplace platform through Lazada Singapore, retailers such as Best Denki, Big Box, Eu Yan Sang Singapore, Gain City, Home-Fix and Motherswork are broadening their reach to shoppers who regularly buy via their mobile devices or laptops.

“With Singapore being one of the most connected countries, it is clear our customers are moving online faster than we can imagine,” says Motherswork CEO Sharon Wong. “To ensure our products are available at their fingertips, collaborating with Lazada was the perfect fit.”

A Nielsen study last year shows that 41 per cent of Singaporeans are considered omni-channel shoppers, while 17 per cent of shoppers depend fully on eCommerce sites for browsing and making purchases.

“We are constantly looking for new experiences for our shoppers, to ensure Lazada remains interesting and relevant,” says Lazada Singapore CEO Martell Hardenberg. “We are exploring opportunities to bring on even more big retailers, with the aim of ensuring customers have access to the best brands.”

Lazada Singapore has more than 4800 sellers, an increase of more than 300 per cent over the past year.

Launched in 2012, Lazada Group also has a presence in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.
