Naruko Philippines aims for 100 stores

Taiwanese beauty brand Naruko is looking to expand beyond its 30 stores.

“We are targeting 100 Naruko Philippines stores by the end of the year, and also looking at the Cebu market,” GM Rachel Cheung said at a beauty industry trade meeting organized by Taiwan Trade Center Manila.

She says Naruko is a favourite brand with more than a billion online users in China. It was founded by Niu Er, also known as Robin Niu or Niu Er Lao Shi, who is described in Taiwan as “the beauty king”.

Cheung says not only provides better prices and trading terms for farmers and workers in Taiwan, but also uses local plant extracts.
Naruko products are also sold in Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand. In the Philippines, it is the only Taiwan beauty brand being sold in Watsons stores.
