Buenos Aires Polo Club opens in Central

Black Sheep Restaurants has opened Buenos Aires Polo Club, an Argentinian steakhouse, in Central, Hong Kong.
Reviving the tradition of a lost era, the restaurant’s dining experience begins on the seventh floor of LKF Tower, where a host welcomes visitors as they arrive. They are ushered into a cosy first room behind wooden doors where the centrepiece is a brass-topped bar, and served with a cocktail made by head bartender Luca Sergi and his team.
With its Argentine influence, the main dining room has dark wooden interiors and leather banquette seating, with oil paintings and equestrian accents originating from Buenos Aires’ San Telmo Antiques Market. It evokes the atmosphere of a private members’ club of the 1900s.

Cooked on a custom-made Argentinian parrilla grill, chef Felipe Lopez’s menu includes dishes of provoleta (Argentinian pulled-curd cheese) to signature beef cuts from open-range cattle station General Pico in Argentina.
“We travelled to Argentina to source the best grass-fed beef the country has to offer, and it’s only available at Buenos Aires Polo Club in Hong Kong,” says Black Sheep Restaurants co-founder Christopher Mark.
Desserts at the club include Ananá la Plancha or classic Don Pedro with house-made black walnut soft serve. The wine cellar offers an extensive collection of Argentinian wine.
