Jia Group set for 10th restaurant

Yenn Wong’s Jia Group is about to open its 10th restaurant, a Californian eatery called Commissary.
The new eatery will open at Pacific Place shopping centre in November.
The concept was created by Wong with two partners – Morgan McGlone of Belles Hot Chicken in Sydney and Melbourne, and Adam Shoebridge, who until recently was head chef at Sonoma restaurant Rossi’s 1906.
The restaurant will provide all-day dining, combining California cuisine, Mexican flavours and even a Deep South US element in a fusion offer.
“Southern Californian cuisine is a fresh and exciting concept for Hong Kong,” said Wong in an interview.
“Our ingredients are steeped in provenance and the dishes reflect a host of different cuisines including Mexican, Latino and the South. We’re very excited about launching Commissary to Hong Kong’s foodies.”
Jia Group’s last new concept to open was Mak Mak Thai at The Landmark. Wong, a pioneering hospitality entrepreneur, (pictured above) also operates Chachawan, Duddell’s, 22 Ships, 208 Duecento Otto, Aberdeen Street Social, Fish School, Ham & Sherry and Meen & Rice.
