Shoe brand Bata Singapore has launched its 40th store, with executives attending a special opening ceremony at the newly renovated Compass One mall.

As well as 30 guests and staff members, the event was attended by group CEO Alexis Nasard, group CFO Alberto Toni, chief people officer Davide Zornetta, country manager Pierluigi Pontecorvo, Asia Pacific president Roberto Longo and the rest of the executive committee. There was a ribbon-cutting ceremony and an eye-dotting ceremony for a pair of Bata lions followed by a lion dance performance – all featured in a live broadcast on Facebook.

After the ceremony there was a private event for the guests, influencers and journalists, who each received a goodie bag containing a leather shoe-care set and a pair of Bata shoes. The latest men’s and women’s shoe collections were showcased.

Leading up to the opening, Bata Singapore organised a consumer focus group comprising 33 target customers between 18 and 68 years of age.
