Direct-sales cosmetics company Younique Products is launching in Hong Kong.
The US company is already in 10 markets with more than 550,000 “presenters”, its term for its independent sales team.
Its flagship product Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes+ mascara will be available in Hong Kong from next week, as well as its “liquid gold” Touch Liquid Foundation.
Younique’s mission is to “uplift, empower, validate and ultimately build self-esteem in women” through its products. The first 999 founding Hong Kong presenters will each become members of a Founders Club with such benefits as HK$245 (US$32) in product credit (Y-cash) and an exclusive charm. They often become leaders in their market, says the company, building their own cosmetics businesses.
Younique is the first direct-sales company to market and sell almost exclusively through the use of social media and its trademarked Younique Virtual Party. It has bi-annual product releases.
Younique presenters are paid commissions three hours after each sale.
