Pei Ho Counterparts restaurant owner Ming Gor is staging his first fundraising event in the form of a pop-up store in Central.
Pei Ho Counterparts Charity Pop-Up Store opens tomorrow and runs until December 15 in the ground-floor lobby of No. 1 Lan Kwai Fong office tower, selling lunch boxes and charity meal vouchers.

Already Ming Gor is known for distributing meal vouchers to the needy so they can have a free meal in his restaurant. The pop-up not only broadens his charity work, but marks Pei Ho Counterparts being made an official charitable enterprise.
Nine variations of Ming Gor’s specialty lunch boxes will be available at the pop-up store, which aims to sell 40,000 meal vouchers – the equivalent of one year of free meals for the needy.

Each lunch box is HK$32 (US$4.15) and each meal voucher HK$24, both of which provide a free meal for an underprivileged person. On top of that, Android Pay will donate $4 toward the Pei Ho (Ming Gor) Charity Foundation whenever the mobile checkout service is used at the pop-up.
Meal vouchers can also be bought from supporting organisations and partners, including Pei Ho Counterpart’s website, 7-Eleven stores and Deliveroo.
