Spartoo launching Chinese website

European fashion brand Spartoo is launching a Chinese version of its website that will offer more than 700 European and international brands.

It promises dedicated customer service as well as fast, free delivery.

French fashion houses will be spotlighted, with such brands as Bensimon, Kickers, Lacoste and Petit Bateau, plus fast-growing new labels. Spartoo’s exclusive brands are Betty London, Fericelli and Moony Mood.

CEO Boris Saragaglia says all styles will be represented with a wide price range. The website will have Mandarin-speaking customer service officers and Chinese payment methods.

“The Chinese population is mostly young, becoming increasingly connected every day, and open to new modes of consumption,” says Saragaglia.

Founded in 2006, Spartoo has gross sales of €140 million (US$149 million) last year, and sold 3.5 million pairs of shoes.
