The charm of Spain in Tsim Sha Tsui

Alzina Spanish Asado is helmed by Spanish born Chef Juanjo Carrillo and the venue has been designed in the style of a contemporary Spanish speakeasy.
The design bears what Carrillo describes as “a modern Spanish aesthetic with rustic touches that transport diners to the tranquil Mediterranean country”. Patchwork tiles bursting with Spanish spirit line the interior of the space, stretching into the street facade, while traditional illustrations grace the walls. Wood, cultural stone, subway tiles, and metal enhance the casual atmosphere of the space.
Alzina Spanish Asador boasts authentic Spanish grill delicacies – and the authenticity is guaranteed by Carrillo’s experience owning two restaurants in Barcelona, one of them, Folquer Restaurant, awarded a Bib Gourmand by the Michelin Guide in 2007.
Bearing a namesake with Catalan roots which translates to “Oak”, Alzina Spanish Asador pays homage to the acorns produced by the plant, which is an essential fruit in Spanish culture.
On the food side, Carrillo has built a menu featuring rustic dishes including tapas, cold-cuts and Spain’s signature paella.
Alzina Spanish Asador is located on the ground floor of 29-31, Chatham Road South (or Hart Avenue).
