HKRMA online certification program launched

An HKRMA online certification program is being launched to boost consumer confidence in shopping online.
The Hong Kong Retail Management Association (HKRMA) says it wants to help strengthen consumer trust in buying goods online.
In response to the rapid development of eCommerce and retail channels, HKRMA will launch the Quality Shop Certification Scheme next year to provide the industry with best practices and standards for online retailing.
HKRMA has also extended its mystery shopper program, which was launched more than 20 years ago, to online stores.
An independent committee has developed the assessment mechanism and criteria for the Quality Shop Certification Scheme. The three main areas of assessment are: the shopping experience, performance, and reputation and development. The four qualities to be assessed are: operations, information, services and systems.
Online retailers that meet the scheme’s criteria will be awarded a Quality Shop Certification Scheme logo and HKRMA certificates. The certification mark can be used on its shop page or advertising and promotional materials.
