Siam Paragon Gourmet Garden launches with Thai debutants

Siam Paragon has opened what it describes as “a world-class dining heaven” on its ground floor.

The Siam Paragon Gourmet Garden features more than 30 fine dining restaurants and dessert cafes over an 8000 sqm area, after a refurbishment which took several months.

A centrepiece of the new eating zone features installation art of gigantic bamboo pillars designed by Korakot Aromdee, who creates works of art using natural materials. Other natural elements are placed around the common areas of the precinct, creating what a Siam Paragon spokesman called ‘Pandorascape’.

“Various natural elements are placed in every impeccable detail of design from floor to ceiling. All of these feature different ambience of dining paradise from dawn to dusk with an aim to pinpoint this latest international fine dining and [create] a get-together landmark in the heart of bustling Bangkok.”

Each restaurant and cafe is designed to embrace an open-plan layout. Some restaurants are attached to a sprawling terrace, allowing diners to enjoy the lagoon view and leafy courtyard.

“With unique philosophy and signature dishes specially created for Siam Paragon Gourmet Garden, all eateries certainly bring something new to the table and are guaranteed to please food lovers from all walks of life,” said the spokesman.

Restaurants making their debut in Thailand at The Gourmet Garden include Clinton St. Baking Company, the NYC “it” place breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch, famous for its pancakes, burgers and fried chicken.

Mugendai Steakhouse, known for its premium sushi and sashimi, introduces its first steakhouse at The Gourmet Garden by offering a combination of Japanese and Western menu under surf ‘n’ turf concept.

After a rebranding, Chilli Thai Restaurant also unveiled its first restaurant at The Gourmet Garden, bringing the best spicy ‘Isaan’ taste in town featuring recipes that pass on generations and best-sourced ingredients.

The precinct’s line-up of dessert outlets making their Thai debut include Homsuwan Pina Pina by Tipco, where recipes of refreshing guilt-free snacks using premium juicy homsuwan pineapple from southern Thailand.

For people with food intolerances, Veganerie offers 100 per cent plant-based premium and healthy food and baked goods which are low in calories, low in sugar and contain no cholesterol. The cafe offers gluten-free and nut-free food as well as dairy-free and egg-free foods.

Other Thai debutants include Milch by Milch Japan, a bake cheese cup from Japan, and Gokoku – the roll cake shop from Osaka Japan.
