Yogurtland Singapore first for region

US self-serve frozen yogurt pioneer has opened its first Yogurtland Singapore store, at Suntec City Mall, overlooking the Fountain of Wealth.

It is the first of several locations planned for Singapore by Yogurtland’s area developer Flavour Playground, headed by Oak Chinawongwatana and Joe Hee.

Chinawongwatana and his team spearheaded Yogurtland’s expansion in Southeast Asia with the opening of 15 Yogurtland outlets in Bangkok over the past two years.

“Singaporeans love frozen yogurt, and we have the largest variety in the marketplace,” he says.

Singapore Yogurtland will serve eight flavours of frozen yogurt with more than 30 fruit and premium toppings, and for local tastes will offer candies and fruits from the region.

To add a social element, the Singapore store has a photo booth where guests can take photos of their frozen yogurt creations for sharing on social media.

Meanwhile, Yogurtland’s VP for development John Wayne Carlson says the group is looking forward to expanding to more countries in Southeast Asia.

Yogurtland has a team of “flavorologists” in the US who develop the proprietary recipes for the brand’s more than 200 flavours. Each flavour uses real ingredients sourced from their original locations.
