Lenovo Group sales down, but still leader

While group revenue of US$12.2 billion was down 6 per cent for its third quarter, technology company Lenovo Group says its core PC business is strong and it retained its No. 1 market position.
It also says its transformation for mobile business is on track, while its data centre business is “actively addressing challenges”.
Unaudited group profit before taxation was $101 million for the period, to December 31.
Global PC unit shipments for the quarter increased 2 per cent year-on-year to 15.7 million against a market decline of 2 per cent.
Its worldwide market share was 22.4 per cent, up 0.8 points, according to preliminary industry estimates.
