Multi-label concept store Dover Street Market has launched a Singapore online store and will open a shop at Dempsey Hill in July.
Its new DSMS E-Shop sells clothing and accessories from more than 15 labels and collaboration collections. These include such brands as Blue Roses from the UK and Parisienne design collective Vetements.
Collaboration items are typically limited editions and the result of co-operation between designers, with DSMS offering such items as a t-shirt by former Dior designer Raf Simons and the non-profit Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation, as well as hoodies and sweaters by American streetwear label Anti Social Social Club and its own label.
Some of the items have already sold out, reports the Straits Times, including sneakers from the collaboration collection between shoe label Vans and Japanese brand Undercover, and a track jacket by Italian fashion designer Sergio Tacchini and Russian fashion designer Gosha Rubchinskiy.
First located on Dover Street in Mayfair, London, Dover Street Market was conceived by Comme des Garcons’ Rei Kawakubo and also has outlets in Tokyo and New York. Its Singapore store in Como Dempsey will be amid eateries and lifestyle stores.
Dover Street Market VP Dickon Bowden says the collections in the e-shop will be included in the physical store’s offering.
Meanwhile, at Como Dempsey, a restaurant by Michelin Star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, The Dempsey Cookhouse & Bar, has just opened. Other food outlets include Peranakan restaurant Candlenut and Japanese eatery Ippoh Tempura Bar by Ginza Ippoh.
