Mannings the top brand for Hong Kong women

Local health-and-beauty retailer Mannings is the most favoured brand among Hong Kong women, a new survey shows.

On the eve of International Women’s Day, UK firm YouGov BrandIndex, which tracks public perceptions of thousands of brands across the world every day, announced the 10 best-perceived brands among women in Hong Kong.

Mannings topped the list with a score of 40.2, ahead of Japanese apparel retailer Uniqlo, on 39.4.

Nike, Visa and Rolex ranked third, fourth and fifth respectively.

Beauty-related brands dominate the list, including Adidas, Chanel and pain-relief product Mentholatum.

The rankings were calculated by measuring ‘impression’ scores on each brand among the female respondents for a 12-month period. They were asked, “Do you have a general positive or negative feeling about the brand?”.

Scores can range from 100 to minus 100, devised by subtracting negative feedback from positive. A zero score means equal positive and negative feedback.
