Stars to help launch Cafe Football Singapore

Two UK football stars will help officially launch Cafe Football Singapore and The Arena sports and fitness centre at Woodleigh Park.

Manchester United legends Ryan Giggs and Gary Neville will be taking part in a special five-a-side tournament as part of the official opening celebration next month.

The Arena offers football pitches for public use as well as fitness programs such as Muay Thai, aerial yoga, rock climbing and dance. It also features Cafe Football Singapore, a franchise of the football-themed restaurant established by Giggs and Neville in the UK.

The two former English Premier League stars will each captain the finalist teams in the CF Cup, open to amateur players. People are invited to form a team of eight players and register in either the open or corporate category.
Participating teams will play in qualifying rounds on April 1 and 2, with the finals on April 8.

When Giggs and Neville were in Singapore earlier this year to visit The Arena and to promote Cafe Football Singapore, they surprised a group of teenagers playing street soccer in Marine Parade by joining their game. A video of that proved a hit on social media.
