Soilbuild Construction Group has been awarded a construction contract by the Singapore Housing & Development Board (HDB) to build Bedok Food City, a ramp-up five-storey complex.

Expected to start within a month, the project will take about 32 months to complete.

Soilbuild Construction executive director Ho Toon Bah says the company is encouraged by the contract. “We have been awarded more than S$700 million [US$498.1 million] of contracts by the HDB since our entry into this sector in 2012.”
