VLone pop-up part of Art Basel fair

Streetwear brand VLone will open a pop-up shop in Hong Kong on Wednesday, following appearances in Austin, Texas, and Japan.

Fresh from streetwear designer Hiroshi Fujiwara’s concept store The Park – ING Ginza, the pop-up is part of  the Art Basel fair in Hong Kong. It is a collaboration between VLone founder A$AP Bari and Hong Kong actor/musician/designer Edison Chen, who announced the pop-up through Chinese social-media platform Weibo.

VLone’s pop-up shop will take over the premises of the Juice store on Tai Ping Shan Street in the Sheung Wan district. A Nike logo on the shop’s flyer indicates it may stock the VLone x Nike Air Force 1 sneaker, launched at New York Fashion Week last month.

The pop-up store has an orange interior with the walls dotted with motifs, such as “Every Living Creative Dies Alone”. The clothing line-up includes the brand’s logo t-shirts and sweaters, as well as the ski mask.

Hong Kong’s fifth Art Basel features more than 240 galleries for modern and contemporary art from across 34 countries, including New York’s Moma PS1 and Hong Kong’s de Sarthe Gallery. The event includes 15 shows featuring such talents as Andy Warhol, graffiti artist Banksy, Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele and Iraqi-born British architect Zaha Hadid.
