Hong Kong’s Pure Group plans a Pure Yoga location for Pacific Place shopping centre, scheduled to open in August.
“Pure Yoga Pacific Place will open alongside the world’s finest fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands, proving that people are starting to value what is on the inside more than what is on the outside,” says Pure Group co-founder/CEO Colin Grant.
“Since opening our first yoga studio 15 years ago, we’ve seen a distinct shift in attitudes, with people looking to yoga to enhance their lives, both physically and mentally. Hong Kong is ready for total wellbeing.”
Within a complex of office towers overlooking Queensway, the Pacific Place outlet will introduce an exclusive Yoga for Office Workers class, and feature 30-minute meditation sessions. There will be other specialised classes for all levels of experience, performance activewear from Pure Apparel, a cafe and a quick-service counter for nutritious food-on-the-go.
Pure Yoga Pacific Place’s minimalist interiors will have Zen aesthetics, subtle lighting and timber panelling. To mark its launch, Pure Group will run community activities outside the level-one location leading up to the big reveal…
● Six emerging artists will present a “live art” project, creating yoga-inspired murals on the outlet’s hoarding. This has already kicked off with hand-lettering artist Jeremy Tow rendering the phrase “Don’t forget to breathe”.
● Complimentary yoga classes with Pure teachers will start in the next couple of weeks, and there will also be a Yoga for Office Workers demo area.
● A pop-up will serve fresh health foods and cold-pressed juices to mall-goers from next month.
● A Pure Yoga booth on Level 2 of Pacific Place will offer limited-time pre-opening rates.
As well as nine Hong Kong sites, Pure Yoga has locations in New York, Shanghai, Singapore and Taipei.
