Kaibosh from Norway launches in Hong Kong

Norwegian eyewear brand Kaibosh launches in Hong Kong this week.

Launched in Bergen four years ago, the brand is presenting its collection of 38 pairs of handmade sunglasses, which will be exclusive at Scandinavian lifestyle boutique Squarestreet in Sheung Wan.

Pink strip lights and balloons will express the brand’s playful concept at a launch party, which features an interactive, wooden window installation curated and handcrafted by Hong Kong artist Nono from The Cave Workshop.

Kaibosh offers innovative design and will sell it range from between HK$980 (US$126) to HK$1180. All design takes place at the head office in Bergen, overseen by Kaibosh co-founder Helge Flo, offering shades in handmade acetate or metal frames with glossy/matt finish or mirror detailing.

Kaibosh has five signature shops in Norway, with more than 300 international stockists.

Squarestreet is a multi-brand designers goods boutique with curated items mainly from Scandinavia. It was founded by fashion entrepreneur Alexis Holm from Stockholm.
