Global Brands Group signs deal with Timberland

Hong Kong branded-apparel company Global Brands Group has signed a multi-year licensing agreement with US outdoor lifestyle brand Timberland, covering socks, soft accessories and cold-weather accessories.

As part of the agreement, Global Brands will design, produce and distribute men’s and women’s socks, baseball caps, felt and straw caps, leather gloves, printed lightweight and woven scarves, and cold-weather accessories under the Timberland brand name, launching next year.

Timberland VP of licensing and accessories Katherine Cousins says the company is excited about the growth opportunities offered by the partnership.

“Timberland is a perfect addition to our growing portfolio of prominent consumer brands,” says Global Brands Nothern America president and chief merchandising officer Jason Rabin.

Global Brands Group Holding designs, develops, markets and sells products under an array of owned and licensed brands in a range of product categories.

Timberland, which designs, makes and markets outdoor lifestyle footwear, apparel and accessories, is best known for its yellow boot introduced in 1973.
