With lower expenses, BreadTalk Group saw its first-quarter net profit rocket 337.2 per cent to S$10.7 million (US$7.6 million).
Revenue for the three months to the end of March shrank 4.5 per cent to $147.6 million, partly because of lower China franchise revenue contribution for the bakery division and lower outlet count at its food atrium segment, the company says.
A special share dividend was announced because of BreadTalk’s divestment gain from selling TripleOne Somerset.
