Murano glassware brand Venini opens Tokyo flagship

Italian glassware company Venini has opened its first flagship store in Tokyo, on the ground floor of the new Ginza Six complex.

From the home of Murano glass, the brand uses the space to bring out the colours and forms of the glass with solid grey shades as a background. The walls and furniture have chrome highlights to contrast with the pewter floor.

A classic element of the typical Venetian house, mirrors create angles of perspective and bounce the reflection of the store’s chandeliers, reports Domus. Curtains of Venetian brocades offer ever-changing colour combinations.

Included in the retail space is a modern Venetian hall designed to welcome visitors as in an ancient mansion recast in a contemporary light.
