Revenue and gross profit both rose 2 per cent for hypermarket company Sun Art Retail Group for the quarter to the end of March.

Its unaudited results show revenue was RMB31,617 million (US$4.5 billion) compared to RMB31,012 million, while gross profit was RMB6836 million, up from RMB6702.

Profit attributable to equity shareholders of the company rose 1.5 per cent to RMB1041 million.
