Naiise Malaysia will feature 300 brands in its new online store, half of them from local artists and designers.
Launched in 2013, the design retailer has seven outlets in Singapore and is known for its pop-up stores and viral marketing tactics, says the Vulcan Post. Founder Dennis Tay says his aim is to make art and design more accessible.
“We will be bringing similar cool stuff into Malaysia with workshops, souvenirs, food, home, fashion and much more,” says MD Wen Dee.
“Malaysia is one of the top five countries buying from Naiise Singapore website,” she says. “There’s a growing market for creative craft and well-designed products.”
Working with partners, curators and customers, the Naiise team wants to cultivate a Malaysian community of people who “love and appreciate good design”. As well as Malaysian artists, the new website will offer international designs from countries including Germany, Korea and the US.
Local brands to feature include Mad3 Studio, Repleat and The Great Indoors.
To promote its arrival, Naiise is giving away a three-day, two-night stay at Stripes Kuala Lumpur to one lucky person who signs up on the website before June 11. There will also be a discount for initial purchases.
