Chinese hot-pot restaurant Hai Di Lao Singapore is about to open its fifth branch, at Bedok Mall.

It already can be found at 313@Somerset, Clarke Quay, IMM and Vivocity, and is known for its peppery mala soup base, four soups in one pot, late hours and service.

Hai Di Lao is also known for its complimentary snacks and drinks and, at certain restaurants, free massages and manicures for waiting customers.

Founded in 1994, Sichuan HaiDiLao Catering has opened more than 170 Hai Di Lao restaurants in China, and the brand can also be found in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the US.

In China, it has seven distribution centres, a soup base factory and a lamb factory.

With five main categories, Hai Di Lao’s menu has more than 100 options.
