New partner, expansion plans for Creme Maison

Singapore bakery Creme Maison has taken on a new partner as it looks to expand regionally.

Founded in 2014 by Angeline Ng, Creme Maison has gained a following for its signature floral cupcake bouquet, crafted entirely from buttercream. It is also known for its Matcha Salted Egg, Raspberry Lychee Rose and Earl Grey Lavender cakes.

Teaming up with Ng is Serene Tan, whose Savoury Creations company brought the Dazzling Cafe to Singapore from Taiwan. The two met casually while Tan was on a quest to find the best-tasting cakes in Singapore.

Tan, who launched her own cafe when she was 22 years old, sees potential for Creme Maison in Taiwan. Bringing to the table her experience with supply-chain management and implementing processes, Tan will be responsible for the business side of the partnership. One of her first moves is to set up a central kitchen, which will be ready in the third quarter of this year.

Ng, who is responsible for Creme Maison’s creations, is responsible for spearheading the brand’s R&D efforts. She plans to introduce options for health-conscious customers and those with allergies.

As well as Taiwan, the brand plans to expand into other parts of Asia within the next two years. As well as growing locally through bespoke customised cake and wedding orders, the brand hopes to introduce such features as an interactive user experience.
