Online fashion communication hub Fashionally, supported by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), is launching a pop-up store at designer boutique Wagamama Playground in Causeway Bay.
From June 8 to 21, the Fashionally.com x Wagamama Playground Pop-up Store will feature collections from 10 budding Hong Kong designers. The pop-up, together with neighbouring indie shops, will hold a party on June 9 at which members of the public can show their support for local creations.
Wagamama Playground, established by designers Kee Chung and Mike Lee, occasionally features joint promotions to help new local labels gain exposure and expand the shop’s offerings. The participating brands this time are Demo. (Derek Chan), FromClothingOf (Shirley Wong), Kenaxleung (Kenax Leung), Kenson (Kenson Tam), Lapeewee (Yannes and Stephanie Wong), Necro Poon (Necro Poon), Phenotypsetter (Jane Ng), Sketcharound (Priscilla So), Wagamama Playground, and Yeung Chin (by Yeung Chin).
Discounts are being offered, and each purchase puts the buyer in the draw for a Fashionally clutch bag designed by Cecilia Ma and worth HK$2320 (US$297).
Party attendees who get a stamp from performers will be offered discounts at such shops as Cafe R&C, GoodDay Cafe, Ladies & Gentlemen, Mammy Pancake and Still House.
