Indian fashion e-tailer Jabong takes on Esprit

Indian fashion e-tailer Jabong has added international label Esprit to its product portfolio.

Clothing, footwear, accessories, jewellery and housewares from the Hong Kong-listed manufacturer will be available on Jabong for men and women in more than a 1000 variants across such categories as apparel, watches and bags.

The Esprit launch is being supported by digital and social-media campaigns, and through an Esprit logo promotion on Jabong’s latest TV commercial.

“Jabong’s upmarket, fashion-forward customer base is the exact target audience to optimise our online presence in India,” says Esprit GM for Asia-Pacific Guillaume Thery.

Founded in San Francisco in 1968, Esprit has a presence in 40 countries.

Meanwhile, Jabong has added 35 other brands this year including Aeropostale, All About You, Antony Morato, Columbia, Elle, Forever 21, Forever New, Gstar, Mothercare, New Era Caps, Roadster, Scotch & Soda, Speedo and Wrogn.

It has also launched the Jabong Mood Store, India’s first-ever innovative comprehensive online store that allows shopping for an entire look.
