Bags, watches, purses and other items can be personalised at the new O Bag Malaysia store in 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
It is the first store in Malaysia for O Bag, which made its debut at the Salone del Mobile exhibition in Milan in 2010. The brand can now be found in more than 50 countries and in more than 240 stores.
Fashioned from ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) rubber, the O Bag itself was created by Full Spot, a company in Padua that entered the international fashion and design market in 2009.
“O Bag is a design-focussed brand,” says director Shannon Chua of Halo Retail, the sole distributor for Malaysia. “All products are created so they can be personalised with interchangeable accessories. It offers individuals a variety of choices to coordinate, to mix and match, in order to create quirky styles and different combinations.”
There are also products for men in the store.
As well as plans to open more O Bag boutiques, Halo Retail is also setting up an online shopping service.
