CommGate deal to help SMEs go online

Singapore cloud e-commerce software provider CommGate is working with Spring Singapore to help SMEs go online, be they retailers, wholesalers, distributors or traders.

Under the Capability Development Grant (CDG), eligible retailers and sellers can a subsidy of up to 70 per cent off implementing CommGate’s omnichannel Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology.

With the product costing about S$43,000, under the initiative SMEs can expect to pay around $13,000. The running costs after the 12-month pilot will be $700 a month.

The package manages inventory, customer relationships, sales and purchases, invoicing and delivery and warehouses. It integrates with accounting systems and offers pre-configured reports and analytics.

“Offline retailers will have the capability to sell on Lazada and Qoo10, and at the same time update their inventories,” says CommGate founder/CEO Moonshi Mohsenruddin. “Our systems let retailers use their POS and update inventory centrally across all retail channels.”

He says CommGate’s work with Spring Singapore is a part of an effort to transform itself from an IT consulting company to a product company.

He says the company will integrate its first 10 customers’ requirements into its product development roadmap. This will allow it to shape its product to meet market demands, and allow subsequent clients to integrate the system quickly without many tweaks.
