Irish actor Aidan Turner is the star of the Dunhill Autumn Winter 2017 menswear campaign.
The Hobbit star, whose most recent work as the lead actor in the BBC TV series Poldark has drawn critical acclaim, was chosen because he “embodies a fresh update for Dunhill”.
The campaign was filmed on location at London’s Greenwich Naval College, overseen by Dunhill creative director Mark Weston.
“The imagery created brings out the candid character of Aidan, framing a new elevated aesthetic.”
Dunhill describes the new collection as “relevant and confident” – which sums up Turner, who will also feature in The Man Who Killed Hitler and The Bigfoot, scheduled for release later this year.
The new collection is already available for order online, direct from Dunhill, a first for the brand, which is trying to embrace digital technologies alongside its traditional retail channels.
