Tech retailer Mobile World has opened its first store in Cambodia, under the name Big Phone.
The store is located at 8 Mao Tse Tung Street in Phnom Penh.
Its product offer includes phones, tablets, and accessories, displayed in the same store format as in Vietnam.
Laptops will be added later when the market demand is established.
Most of phones on sale are Samsung models, the rest from Huawei, Oppo, Camfone and LG. Apple and Nokia handsets will be in store in July.
Ho Viet Dong, GM of Big Phone, said the store expects to reach US$100,000 sales each month.
Cambodia is the first foreign market that Mobile World is planning to expand into.
The chain will boost its presence in the country after three months assessing the first store’s performance, with Laos and Myanmar to follow.
