Bequest Group to introduce Berluti Paris in India

Indian retailer Bequest Group plans to open the first store in India for LVMH subsidiary Berluti Paris.

It says it is also in advanced talks with Italian fashion brand Brunello Cucinelli to represent it in India.

“Berluti is our first association with LVMH,” says Bequest Group CEO Gaganmeet Singh.

“We are also coming up with brand extensions of brands that are already in India, and we will be expanding these brands to other markets as well, like Hyderabad and Kolkata.

“These are brands that are looking to switch their partners.“

Singh says the group sees potential in niche beauty brands, and plans to have a pan-India presence for UK cosmetics company Molton Brown and UK fragrance Creed. It plans 14 stores initially for Molton Brown in cities like Delhi and Mumbai.

Bequest also has the exclusive partnership rights in India for Danish consumer electronics company Bang & Olufsen.
