Italian leather bags company The Bridge has opened its second boutique in South Korea.
It is in the historic city of Suwon, 30km from Seoul, and is within the AK Plaza shopping centre, which is integrated with the city’s railway station.
Complete with furnishings including armchairs handcrafted in Florence, The Bridge number two is franchised to the same distributor who opened the initial outlet at Starfield Hanam luxury mall in October 2016.
In recent years the brand has moved into Asia with boutiques and shop-in-shop openings not only in Korea but also in China (Beijing and Shanghai), Hong Kong, Malaysia, Myanmar and Taiwan.
“I am sure the most-developed Asian markets are the best development ground for a product that fully expresses all the values of made in Italy,” says chairman/MD Marco Palmieri of brand owner Piquadro.
