I.T Group launches online shop for China

Hong Kong fashion conglomerate I.T Group has launched an online shop for the Chinese mainland market.

ITeShop, which offers all the group’s brands, can also be accessed via I.T’s official WeChat account, and digital payments are accepted via Alipay, WeChat Pay and UnionPay.

I.T’s aim is to provide a seamless experience for customers, says group e-commerce director Giovanni Cirillo.

Meanwhile, the group’s existing official store on Tmall will continue, offering I.T’s in-house brands such as B+AB and Chocolate, while ITeShop will sell imported brands such as Comme des Garcon Play and Off-White.

ITeShop is expected to contribute 10 per cent to the group’s annual sales revenue in China within three years, says Cirillo.

It took I.T group seven months to roll out the website, which is run by a team of 25 people in Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Cirillo joined I.T Group at the beginning of this year, moving from online luxury retailer Yoox Net-A-Porter where he had worked for seven years.

Established in 1988, I.T Group has been distributing designer brands from Japan and Europe via 435 self-managed stores and 59 franchised stores in China.
