No cars at Collezione Automobili Lamborghini

In Tokyo’s upmarket Ginza district, a new outlet opened by a luxury Italian car brand does not have a vehicle on the floor – Collezione Automobili Lamborghini instead sells clothing and accessories.

While most locations listed on the Lamborghini Store website are automobile dealerships that also carry merchandise, the company has been opening a small number of dedicated boutiques, including one in Taipei, plus about a dozen departments within larger stores across Asia, reports CarScoops.com.

Meanwhile, rival Ferrari has more than 40 such retail locations around the world, and Porsche Design has more than 20 locations in the US alone.

With or without these stores, most upscale automakers offer their clothing, accessories and memorabilia online as well.
