CityOn.Zhengzhou takes gold in awards

Gold awardTaubman Asia’s new project CityOn.Zhengzhou won gold at this year’s ICSC Asia Pacific Shopping Center Awards.

At a ceremony in Bangkok, it was named top in the marketing category in the section Grand Opening, Expansion and Renovations section. CityOn.Zhengzhou, in the provincial capital of Henan province, is the first China project to win the award. The six-level shopping centre opened in March anchored by a four-level Wangfujing department store.

CityOn’s launch campaign encompassed multichannel membership recruitment activities, themed promotional events and innovative partnerships with mobile transportation service platforms Didi Chuxing and OFO.

Taubman Asia’s other China project, CityOn.Xi’an, was shortlisted as a finalist in the Public Relations and Events category for its Little Talent Camp, an occupational experience campaign for children.

Hundreds of projects from Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Macau, New Zealand, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam competed in this year’s awards, which were open to shopping-centre owners, developers, management companies, architects and designers, and retailers.
