Kingsdown China has opened of its 100th store, in the Hebei province capital of Shijiazhuang.

It is part of the US bedding manufacturer’s ongoing licensing partnership with Asian-based bedding producer and retailer Roth Bedding Technology International, and puts it on track to meet its target of a minimum 135 stores open in China by the end of this year.

Currently Kingsdown has branded stores in 58 cities and aims to have 500 throughout China by 2020. Roth and Kingsdown joined forces in 2015.

“The entire Roth team are experts in the market, and their leadership and direction have been invaluable,” says Kingsdown president/CEO Frank Hood.

As well as its continued growth in China, Kingsdown has opened a second store in Ho Chi Minh City as part of its ambitious growth strategy throughout Asia.

Based in Hong Kong, Roth is a full-service distribution and retail company.

Founded in 1904, Kingsdown serves retailers across the US and in more than 20 other countries. It has international offices in Tokyo and Melbourne, as well as manufacturing and distribution centres in China and Malaysia.
