Texas Chicken goes high tech at airport

Texas Chicken Singapore has winged its way across Changi Airport to a fresh location featuring automated self-ordering kiosks.

Replacing the original restaurant in the main terminal, the new outlet for the US fast-food brand is in Terminal T4. It is the 13th location for Texas Chicken in Singapore.

“Singapore is an important market for Texas Chicken in Asia,” says executive VP of international business Tony Moralejo of Texas Chicken and Church’s Chicken. “We have a proven franchisee behind the wheel of this state-of-the-art restaurant and we’re looking forward to this new chapter in the brand’s story in Asia and beyond.”

Heading up the Changi Airport restaurant is foodservice provider Select Group, which manages 160 establishments in Singapore and overseas.

“This is the first of many innovations to come for both Church’s Chicken and Texas Chicken,” says Moralejo. “The vision is that this new restaurant will serve as the standard for future openings in the region and new territories.”

Founded in San Antonio, Texas, by George Church in 1952, Church’s Chicken, along with its sister brand Texas Chicken outside of the Americas, has more than 1650 locations in 25 countries.
