MultiVerse Advertising hitches star to Myanmar fashion designer

Myanmar marketing and branding agency MultiVerse Advertising has partnered with fashion designer Charlotte Barjou in a reimagining of its brand experience.

Barjou, known for haute couture dresses, has created a fashion series based entirely on MultiVerse branding elements. The results of the collaboration will be displayed throughout the agency’s website, social-media presence and every other touchpoint.

“Too often branding is thought of as logos, taglines and assorted t-shirts and stationery, but effective branding tells a story through every element of your company’s presence,” says MultiVerse founder Thom Hayward. “We wanted to create something startlingly unique to express our brand physically, to drive engagement and a sense of wonder.”

Barjou, a French-born fashionista who has been designing since the age of 12, opened a showroom in Yangon last year where she creates her women’s clothing. “When Thom reached out I was intrigued because our visions for storytelling through collaborative art forms were in sync,” she says.

“Both high fashion and branding are centered on architecting a narrative that perfectly marries the object of the design, whether that be a person or a brand, to the characteristics that make them unique and compelling.”

Founded in 201 and based in Yangon, MultiVerse has offices in Singapore, San Francisco and New York, working with such global brands as Carlsberg, Nestle and Visa.
