Restaurant company Pirata Group opens its second Pici pasta bar in Aberdeen Street in Central on Tuesday.
The original, in Wan Chai, opened last January. The Pirata Group was co-founded by Manuel Palacio and Christian Talpo with the ethos of generous portions, value for money and no service charge.
Like the first outlet, the neighbourhood-style pasta bar serves fresh, hand-rolled pasta made daily. Just around the corner from Pirata’s TokyoLima and Meats, Pici Central will have some exclusive dishes such as hand-rolled garganelli pasta with duck ragu and Szechuan peppers, and tagliatelle with mussels and saffron cream.
Meanwhile, to whet appetites for next week’s opening, Pirata Group is holding a giveaway today with takeaway goodie bags of pasta, Italian desserts and Aperol Spritz.
