Ricky Wong to talk about HKTV Mall at Retail’s Cutting Edge

Ricky Wong, the ebullient founder of HKTV Mall and chairman of HK Television Network, has been confirmed to speak at next week’s Retail’s Cutting Edge.

Wong will share some of the lessons learned and innovations implemented in Hong Kong’s largest e-commerce business which boasts more than 170,000 products from more than 2000 suppliers and more than 1.2 million registered customers.

He is one of several new speakers confirmed in the final agenda for the day-long event which will be held next Wednesday (January 31) at the HKCEC. Retail’s Cutting Edge is organised by Inside Retail and is part of the week-long StartmeupHK event, led by InvestHK.

Among the other speakers recently confirmed for the event are:

  • Nikhil Jain and Adam Zheng, co-founders of AI and blockchain-technology startup Oben, which this month received a US$10 million investment from K11 Art Mall.
  • Cherry Gu, market director with J.Crew.
  • Ravel Lai, regional IT & digital director with Jardine Restaurant Group (Pizza Hut).
  • Niamh Given, chief growth officer with Nest.

Tickets are still available for Retail’s Cutting Edge mainstage forum, which runs from 9am to 5pm.

Meanwhile, entry is free to the concurrent startup exhibition and Retail Technology Workshop.
