NTUC FairPrice Lunar New Year trading hours will be expanded this year: 138 stores will open throughout the holiday, than 90 per cent of its supermarkets and hypermarkets.
It is the highest number of stores FairPrice has ever kept open throughout the annual holiday.
“We want to ensure our customers have convenient access to groceries and festive goodies during the holiday,” says CEO Seah Kian Peng. “Extending our hours will help alleviate high customer traffic while also catering to last minute shopping.”
Extended hours will start from Thursday, with more than half of FairPrice’s stores opening an extra hour. On the eve of Lunar New Year (February 14), as well as the group’s 61 24-hour stores, 20 other stores will open for 24 hours, with 147 FairPrice stores staying open until at least 5pm.
Regular hours will resume on the third day of Lunar New Year (February 18).
FairPrice Online will continue deliveries between 10am and 6pm from February 15 to 18, subject to stipulated order cut-off timings.
