FranGlobal sets up shop in Bangladesh

Singapore-based franchise consultancy firm FranGlobal has entered Bangladesh, announcing it will introduce more than 50 brands in the next couple of years.

“This will create investment of US$39 million, as a conservative estimate,” says chairman Gaurav Marya, who has been attending the first-ever Franchise Bangladesh expo in Dhaka.

International and domestic brands from such sectors as education, F&B, retail, fashion and lifestyle were showcased at the event.

FranGlobal will represent investors in Bangladesh and partner with global companies seeking to enter or expand in the market.

“Bangladesh is poised to be among top three fastest-growing economies of the world by 2030,” says Marya. “While a handful of Bangladeshi brands want to expand their business overseas and are planning to franchise globally, foreign franchises in Bangladesh are doing impressively well.”
