The Butcher’s Club lands in Shanghai

From Hong Kong, The Butcher’s Club has introduced its gourmet burgers at IFC Mall Pudong in Shanghai.

Launched at Tin Wan, Aberdeen, as a butcher’s shop in 2013, the chain already has two venues in Beijing.

Its concept of using quality dry-aged beef has garnered it many awards, including a mention in the Michelin Guide.

Its Shanghai outlet continues its philosophy of being a cool social gathering spot with long tables and tall stools. The Butcher’s Club has three concepts under one roof – artisanal burgers, a meat deli and a steak grill. With a retail butcher’s shop in the venue, diners can buy dry-aged steaks and patties to take home.

Offerings range from a basic burger through to choices that include foie gras, black truffle butter, pulled pork, Canadian peameal bacon and pickled shallots.

Founder/creator Jonathan Glover is a trained chef, self-taught butcher and fish monger.
