Rag & Bone Japan has opened a new concept store at its Omotesando location in Tokyo.
The New York urban clothing brand has teamed with Verve Coffee Roasters to offer customers a fusion between retail space and coffee shop atmosphere. The coffee space will have a constantly refreshed menu of grab-and-go snacks.
The interior of the coffee shop has hints of modernist architecture of the 1950s juxtaposed with custom Northern European vintage furniture, reports Highsnobiety.
Covering three floors, the store carries the brand’s women’s and men’s denim, ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories. The first floor features hanging mannequins, peg walls and television screens, while the second-floor atmosphere is set with a wall featuring work by Japanese graffiti artist Suiko, with more designs in the changing rooms.
Rag & Bone commissioned stylist Yohei Usami to consult on the interior of the new space, as well as having Japanese artist Verdy design the first of an ever-evolving Rag & Bone coffee logo. The brand plans to update this a quarterly, working with different artists. The logo features on a range of Rag & Bone t-shirts and sweatshirts as well as on novelty cups and tumblers.
