UK fashion retail group set to call in administrators

Falling sales at some 300 department store concessions are believed to be behind the imminent collapse of UK fashion retail group Calvetron Brands.

Both House of Fraser and Debenhams have seen their sales slump during the last six months, partly due to an exceptionally cold European winter.

Calvetron Brands owns the labels Jacques Vert, Dash, Precis and Eastex.

News of the administration plan was reported on Sky News, however both Calvetron and the administrator, Duff & Phelps, have commented on the report.

This will be the second time the business has entered administration in less than a year. Calvetron bought the company – then called Style Group Brands – last June, rescuing the brands and 1700 jobs along with them.
