OnTheList opens Kowloon pop-up store

Hong Kong flash sale pioneer OnTheList has opened a second store, this one a pop-up in Kowloon.

The company leased its first store in Duddell Street, Central, in February last year and believes opening on the other side of the harbour will make it easier for Kowloon shoppers to access its flash sales.

OnTheList was founded by Delphine Lefay & Diego Dultzin Lacoste as a means for brands to shift excess stock and last-season inventories in a controlled environment, offline. Its sales range from one to three days in length, with more than one a week on average. Discounts average 75 per cent but can run as high as 90 per cent.

The key to the concept is a membership list. Each time a sale is organised the database is invited. Newcomers are welcome, but must register before they shop.

OnTheList’s Kowloon store is located in the basement of the Kowloon Hotel, 19-21 Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui.

The first brand to be hosted at the new store – and at the Central location – is Desigual, with a sale starting tomorrow, June 5.

OnTheList is now also holding some limited-time online-only sales this year.
