Hong Kong’s Retail Asia Expo opened today, celebrating the exhibition’s 10th anniversary and aggregating a broad mix of retail suppliers.
Visitors to the event, on the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre’s third floor, enter via a Trend Trail created by design house Fitch in partnership with several major technology companies exhibiting at the event. Interactive robot Pepper greets individuals and there is a massive LED wall with colourful lights and patterns that change as people wave at it.
Today and tomorrow, a speaker program will be conducted focusing on design, technology and retail trends. Today’s speakers include Jonathan Cummings, chairman HK and group business director at Fitch, Anna Lin, CEO of GS1 Hong Kong, Dr William Lo, vice-chairman of Kidsland International Holdings and Dr Jimmy Chiang, associate director-general of investment promotion at Invest Hong Kong.
Organised by UBM Asia, Retail Asia Expo opens at 10am until Thursday, closing at 6pm tonight and tomorrow and 5pm on Thursday.
Salesforce is the supporting business partner of the event, Tofugear and V-Count are diamond sponsors and Emarsys and Zendesk silver sponsors.
Pre-registration has closed, but visitors can still register onsite with a name card.
